Cities

The Cities page is the fourth level of the geographic hierarchy. Each city optionally belongs

to one municipality.

Menu path: Analysis Configuration → Reference Data → Cities.

Button	Action
	Add — Create a new record
	Columns — Show/hide table columns
	Filters — Open/close the filter panel. A red dot indicates active filters
	Export CSV — Download table data as a CSV file
	Orientation — Toggle between portrait and landscape printing
	Print — Generate a PDF of the current view
	Help — Open the help dialog
	Search — Quick search through table data

Record Actions

Clicking the icon on each row shows:

Field	Description
Name	The city or settlement name. Up to 50 characters.
Municipality	The municipality it belongs to. Optional — a city can be entered without one.
Source id	The identifier from the official source this row was imported from.

Municipalities — the parent of each city, when one is given.
Samples — a sample holds its city directly, separately from its municipality.
Toponyms — the finest level, sitting under the city.

⚠️ Because the municipality is optional here, a city can end up orphaned: it appears in the

list, it is selectable on a sample, and it hangs off nothing. No warning is shown. The sample's

municipality is filled in separately, so the gap does not show on the report — it shows when

you try to group samples geographically.

A sample with no city blocks nothing; the location is simply described more coarsely.
