External Results

The External Results screen is used to bring in the results that come back from external laboratories (ISO/IEC 17025 §6.6, §7.8.2.1p). The inbox shows the shipments that have been sent and are awaiting results.

Two ways to bring in results

  • CSV upload: upload the external lab's file, map the columns (sample code, element, value, and optionally unit, uncertainty, SOP reference) and review a preview before confirming.
  • Manual entry: fill in values row by row for each measurement, together with unit, uncertainty, SOP reference, and optionally cost.

Notes

  • In the inbox, the number of days outstanding is highlighted once it passes 14 days since the shipment was sent.
  • Measurements that have already been brought in are shown as "Already ingested" and are not overwritten during a CSV upload.
  • When all the measurements in a shipment have results, the shipment moves to the Completed status.
  • The CSV column mapping is defined per supplier; if it is missing, create it first from Settings.
