External Results

The External Results page is the way in for results produced by another laboratory — a

subcontractor you sent a sample to. Results are entered by hand or imported from CSV.

CSV import

The import runs in three steps:

Step	What it asks
File	Choose the CSV. Its headers are read.
Mapping	Which column is the sample code, which the element code, and which the value. All three are required.
Preview	How many rows will be filled, how many skipped and how many ignored, before you commit.

The column mapping is remembered: the next file from the same subcontractor is recognised

without setting it up again.

Shipments — the other end of the same flow: there you pack and send, here you receive.
Suppliers — the subcontractor must be an evaluated provider (§6.6).
Measurements — the values land on the analysis record's measurements.
Analysis report — a result from an external lab must be declared as such on the report

(§7.8.2).

🔴 If a result never arrives, the analysis stays open silently. The sample reads as "in progress"

with nothing showing that it is waiting on a third party.

A wrong column mapping is the real danger: a value landing on the wrong element passes every

sanity check, because it is a valid number in a valid field. The preview exists precisely for

this — read it.

Without uploading the subcontractor's own report, the evidence is your data entry rather than

their document. An assessor wants the second.
