Instrument Classes

Instrument Classes are the taxonomy of equipment: balances, pH meters, spectrophotometers and whatever else the laboratory uses. They exist so Calibration Programmes can be grouped (ISO/IEC 17025 §6.4.7). This is a configuration table rather than a fixed list, because equipment varies enormously between industries.

Found under: Analysis Configuration → Equipment → Instrument Classes.

Notes

  • Deactivating breaks nothing. Existing programmes keep their link; the class simply stops appearing when you create a new one.
