Sample Receipt

The Sample Receipt screen is used to receive at the lab a sample that was already collected in the field (ISO/IEC 17025 §7.4.3). You scan the sample barcode and log its condition on arrival; the sample status changes from In Collection to Received.

Found under: Daily Work → Sample Receipt.

How it works

  1. Scan the barcode with a handheld scanner, or type the sample code (e.g. SAM-2026-0001). Alternatively, press Scan with Camera.
  2. If the code matches a sample that is In Collection, the receipt window opens with the sample's details.
  3. Choose the condition on arrival (OK, Damaged, Insufficient, Unpreserved, or Other). If it is not "OK", add notes and log the consultation with the customer (§7.4.3): who was consulted, when, and the outcome (proceed with a disclaimer, reject, or request re-sampling).
  4. Press Receive.

Notes

  • Receipt works offline: it is saved locally and synced as soon as a connection is available.
  • If the device clock differs significantly from the server time, receipt is blocked until it is corrected, so the receipt time stays reliable.
  • Samples logged directly at the bench do not need scanning; they start straight away as Received.
