The Artificial Intelligence section controls whether and how the laboratory uses the AI features, and shows how much it uses them.
Navigation: Settings → System → Artificial Intelligence
The setting covers three features together:
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Natural-language query | The "Ask" mode — you ask in ordinary sentences instead of using filters |
| Capture measurement from instrument (OCR) | Reads the value from a photo of the instrument's display |
| Help assistant | Answers questions against the documentation |
Choosing "Disabled" turns all three off. There is no per-feature switch — except for OCR, which has one of its own.

| Your own Anthropic key | You supply your own API key and are billed directly by the provider |
The choice affects both billing and availability — it is not merely a technical detail.
At the top you see the queries this month. The monthly limit is not set here: your administrator sets it and you see it under Subscription.
Below that, the history shows, per call, the feature, the question, the outcome, the cost and the response time — so you know where your allowance is going.
