Supervised Practice

The Supervised Practice page is the log of sessions where someone performed work under supervision (ISO/IEC 17025 §6.2.5(d)). Each row is one event: who, when, under which supervisor, and with what outcome. It is the evidence behind the Supervised status on a User Competency.

Found under: ISO 17025 → Personnel & Competency → Supervised Practice.

Outcomes

OutcomeMeaning
SatisfactoryThe supervisor confirmed correct performance; the session counts toward authorisation
Needs PracticePerformed acceptably, but more practice is required before authorisation
FailedPerformed incorrectly; the supervisor must retrain or escalate

Notes

  • Recording a session does not by itself change the competency status. Moving from Supervised to Authorized is done by hand in User Competencies, once the responsible person judges the sessions sufficient.
  • The competency picker lists every record, not only those in training.
  • The date filters are labelled Created From/To but filter on Practiced At.
  • Changes are made by the Lab Director.
